Our search for a winter getaway property began over 20 years ago when we first started traveling with our 2 year old son. We spent time in many far off and near destinations around the world and in Canada. While we enjoyed our adventures there was no one place that managed to stick as a place we could see ourselves on a semi permanent basis. That is until we arrived in San Carlos 5 years ago. We had been invited to come to San Carlos by close friends that had property in the area. The effect was immediate! We were instantly taken back by the breath taking beauty of the mountains and sea. We quickly discovered new friendships from the Mexican community as well as American’s and Canadian’s that were already enjoying the opportunities of the area. The number and variety of recreational opportunities seem endless which tantalized our adventurist spirits. The awesome deep sea fishing, diving (one of the best in the world for marine life variety), waverunners, sea kayaking, paddle boarding, kite surfing, and 4 wheel adventures are just a few of the activities we enjoy. Transportation has not been an issue as we can fly or drive on a 4 lane highway directly to San Carlos from our home in Edmonton. Convenience is another aspect of the San Carlos experience that we enjoy as all the major stores are available in the area or a short drive, Wal Mart, Sam’s Club, Costco, Home Depot to name a few. We can live safely and very comfortably in a community with great restaurants, beautiful vistas, awesome sunsets, and super friendly culture. San Carlos is our home away from home…
